After 18th Biograd Boat Show was held from 20th to 23rd of October it is clear now that the largest and most popular Croatian boat show reached its maturity, which was marked by very decent edition. Literally, because of 18th birthday, but also because of excellent, high-level organization complemented with extremely wide offer on display, including record number of exhibitors and boats on display (more than 300 of each) as well as numerous interesting accompanying events and large number of visitors.
With the help of mostly nice and sunny weather visitors have occupied piers of Marina Kornati, traditional location of this nautical event. There was no shortage of novelties among sailing or motor boats, but also among countless marine equipment parts. If one did not come to look at and buy a new boat, each visitor could have found something for himself or his beloved boat, to make it better, nicer or improve it.
Most of the announced novelties were on display and attracted a lot of visitors' interests, but there were also some very interesting models which haven't been advertised in advance so they surprised us. One of them was new Kuster 70 R which stirred quite a lot of attention with its pleasant looks, quality construction and great performance. Another one was beautiful classic Betinska Gajeta 700, built by using modern construction techniques and woodworking, with the help of CNC milling cutter and WEST system of wood lamination.
We also saw aluminium boats such as Fisherman 36 built by Adria-Mar, interesting retro-design yacht for big-game fishing and with IPS-propulsion, as well as Faros 40 from AWB boatyard, commercial boat for passenger transfers with great safety in poor sea conditions. Business on the sea is a main purpose as well for the new, much larger semi-submarine model of the Agena marin company, with the length of 17 meters and 55 passenger capacity. Her smaller and popular "sister" got a first competitor, Orca 34 semi-submarine with the lovable looks of orca whale, built by JK Nautika company.
Novelties in the recreational boating sector included another Croatian boat, inexpensive Blueway 20 with uncommon concept, but also three Polish multifunctional boats in different editions: Pilothouse, Open and Sport. Intended for summer pleasure and fun were several wonderful RIB-s, such as powerful Marlin 790, robust BWA 260 Pro or very fast Joker Clubman 24. Among larger yachts it has to be mentioned again very attractive world premiere of Greenline 36 Hybrid, but also Croatian premieres of large Jeanneau 64 Yacht and Leader 36 built by same boatyard. Galeon 500 Fly with its openable sides attracted quite a lot of attention too, as well as first commercial diesel-outboard engine Dtorque with power of 50 HP, first time exhibited in Croatia thanks to Navela company.
Yacht-Pool has traditionally participated at the show and hosted once again a number of visitors, our loyal clients, partners and friends. There we presented our complete offer of popular insurance and other services and products. Furthermore, for our charter partners we organized one interesting presentation under the name of "Propulsion system insurance terms - coverage, maintenance and other issues".
At this event we introduced our approach to solving mentioned issues with the aim to find mutually beneficial solution for all the participants in charter business. It was followed by a presentation of Genijator device, patented Croatian product awarded for innovation, with assignment for internal cleaning of all types of internal combustion engines. By using this device accumulated soot on the internal parts of the engine is being removed, which represents frequent problem on the sailing boats, especially with their diesel engines responsive to poor diesel fuel. This process is enhancing engine's reliability and smoothness, but also reducing fuel consumption for about 10%, all being important benefits for the charter business.
With all the above mentioned 18th edition of Biograd Boat Show confirmed this event as the most important gathering spot for Croatian nautical sector, so we are already now looking forward for the next year, even more spectacular event.
