Three sunny and warm days together with one windy and rainy marked the most successful and largest domestic boat show which was held from 18th to 21st of October. The overall atmosphere was fantastic and worthy of 20th anniversary of the Biograd fair. Several figures were record-breaking, including even larger exhibition area than a year before, almost 17.000 of registered visitors, as well as more than 320 exhibitors and about 300 boats on display, of which 33 debuts! Moreover, during the fair there were numerous interesting events and an important business part - Biograd B2B with 364 registered business profiles.
Premium Yacht Insurance by Jack Šurija participated once again successfully at the fair and on the well-known location, where we hosted with pleasure numerous visitors and our precious customers, business partners and friends, with some delicious snacks and fine beverages. However, in addition to pleasant gathering, together with representatives of our partner Pantaenius our Jack held a presentation of our recently introduced product.
It is about unique skipper’s insurance for charter which now, within a single policy, combines skipper’s liability insurance including coverage of gross negligence (comprising even alcohol and narcotic drugs), as well as charter travel cancellation insurance and charter deposit insurance. Premium Yacht Insurance already had these three types of insurance on offer but as a separate products, hence we created this unique joint-product by carefully listening to the market and customers’ needs, and to make it even more affordable and meaningful.
As usual there were many small Croatian boatbuilders, dealers of charter sailboats and increased number of catamarans, as a reaction to global trends in recreational boating. The most interesting world premiere was from a Croatian boatyard in the shape of beautiful 9-meter boat Terra Nauta 28, smaller “sister” of a 40-foot model. Recognizable elegant looks with distinctive flush deck forward is covered with teak, lower stern part is complemented by trendy outboard propulsion (one or two engines) while interior provides amenities for comfortable cruising of four persons.
Another world-debut from domestic boatyard D&D Yachts surprised the visitors - sailing boat Kufner 50, which, likewise, follows the sleek lines of larger, 54-foot model, and offers almost the same level of comfort required by charter guests. Croatian debuts included two completely new motor yachts such as Futura 40 Horizon, interesting and voluminous trawler from Poland, attractive catamaran Aquila 44 which boasts ample and uncommon interior layout while new Jeanneau NC33 is small and affordable but lovely family cruiser.
Attention was attracted by two sport cruisers Focus Power 33 and 44 too, but experts could recognize the redesigned lines of former Elan models Power 30 and 42. They had their first public appearance since Dutch company Focus Yachts acquired Elan’s production site in Obrovac. Other interesting Croatian boats include charming new open version of Šibenik 800 with low windscreen and blue hull colour, while those who make a profit at sea certainly stared at extremely efficient and practical motor catamaran Taxi Cat built by Agena Marin.
